Maths and Science Graduate Scholarship
The Maths and Science Graduate Scholarship provides for a total of 150 scholarships to be awarded over three annual intakes. Fifty scholarships will be awarded for study in 2010, the last annual intake.
The scholarship with total benefits up to $11,000 seeks to attract graduates with mathematics or science studies to teaching. Recipients complete a graduate entry teaching course and are encouraged to consider going on to teach in Victorian government schools. The Maths and Science Graduate Scholarship benefit is additional to the HECS-HELP benefit offered by the Commonwealth Government to reduce Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) repayments or debt.
Applications for the 2010 scholarship intake close on 5 October 2009.
