Scholarships for Existing Workers in Licensed Children’s Services have been developed to support unqualified staff working in licensed children’s services to take up opportunities to attain Certificate III in Children’s Services. There are 200 Scholarships available in 2009/10.
Existing staff working in children’s services — including Family Day Care and Outside School Hours Care — who do not hold a relevant qualification in early childhood education and care and who have enrolled in a Certificate III in Children’s Services course at a TAFE Institute or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) are eligible to apply.
In 2009/10 there are 200 scholarships available for staff currently working in a licensed children’s service (including Family Day Care and Outside School Hours Care) in Victoria who do not hold a relevant qualification in the field of early childhood education and care. Successful applicants will receive a payment of up to $1000 to contribute towards study related costs. Scholarship recipients will be required to work for one year in a Victorian licensed children’s service upon successful completion of their course. Scholarships are available for students commencing their studies in 2009/10.
Applications are invited from existing workers in licensed children’s services in Victoria who do not hold a relevant qualification and who are enrolled with a TAFE/RTO to undertake a Certificate III in Children’s Services.
