Victoria’s government schools and kindergartens will be showcasing their achievements during Education Week from May 17 to 23.
Education Minister Bronwyn Pike said Education Week is a great opportunity for parents and children to check out their local school and kindergarten facilities.
“Education Week is a terrific opportunity to share in the many success stories found within Victorian Government schools and early childhood services across the state. This celebration allows parents and the community to see first-hand how our programs are helping your children to shine” she said. In addition to scoping out your local education services, you can also join in Australia’s biggest celebration of public education.
Back to School Day is a nationwide campaign where people from all walks of life go back to their former schools as positive role models, to share their success stories and inspire students. Back to School Day events will be held across Victoria throughout Education Week.
A list of school and kindergarten events will be published on the Education Week site in early May. Visit http://www.education.vic.gov.au/educationweek
