Interpreting and Translating Services for Parents

Help with communication between parents and schools

All government schools can provide access to interpreting and translating services free of charge. This service enables schools to provide interpreters for parent-teacher interviews and information sessions for parents of students from non-English speaking backgrounds. Schools can also use the services to translate school notices. Multilingual notices are also produced.

The school is responsible for organising the interpreting and translating services within the set guidelines.
