Your Child's Health and Wellbeing

Children thrive when they are healthy, happy, confident and secure. Victorian government schools work to create positive learning communities where children feel valued and supported.
The programs at Victorian government schools are designed to support your child’s health and wellbeing and to ensure that any medical conditions are safely managed.
Victorian government schools have a duty of care to provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for all children.
Schools must develop strategies to promote care, tolerance, courtesy and mutual respect. The Department has policies and guidelines in place so that teachers, students, staff and community members understand each other and the different roles and duties they must fulfil.
