Victorian Institute of Teaching Review

The Review of the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) was provided to the Minister for Education, the Hon. Bronwyn Pike, MP, earlier this year.

The review examined the functions, structure and legislative mandate of the Institute, in relation to expectations of students, the government, the community and teachers.

A number of issues in relation to the role, responsibilities, structure and operations of the Institute were examined in the review and are the subject of recommendations.

Minister Pike has considered the findings and recommendations of the review and has provided an interim response, which indicates recommendations that are accepted, recommendations that are not accepted and recommendations which require further work before a decision is made.
