The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) publishes a range of handbooks, newsletters, newspapers, papers and data for public use. The publication’s news and information section brings together in one place a list of these resources. This Department information may be published on the education web site or on one of the departments many sub-sites.

Education Times

Education Times is a tabloid newspaper published fortnightly during the school year by the Department of Education Victoria. It is distributed to all government school teachers and principals, non-teaching staff and school council members — a circulation of over 70,000.

Facts and figures about Victoria's education system
This data provides a ready reference for Victorian school statistics. The information includes: student numbers, teacher numbers, class sizes, student retention rates and statistics from regional areas.

On Track Data
On Track Destinations of School Leavers provides a comprehensive analysis of the destinations of Victorian students shortly after they leave school from years 10, 11 & 12. This analysis includes destinations by gender, year level, socio economic status and regional areas; reasons for not continuing in education and training; and details on the occupations and hours worked of employed school leavers.
