Victorian State Budget 2008-2009
The Victorian Government has tabled the 2008-09 State Budget which delivers an additional $815 million to Victoria’s education and early childhood system.
This funding will continue the Government's unprecedented schools rebuilding program and implement a school reform package which will include more targeted support for schools.
The 2006-07 Budget also provides funding to the early childhood sector to monitor and support childcare and out-of-school hours care. Other highlights include free kindergarten for vulnerable children and additional services for young children with a disability.
