    Description

    Open to all. Recommended for ages 9-16.

    The STEAM Maker-challenges are a fun opportunity to use science, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) skills to invent, create, and pose solutions to an array of community-based challenges.

    Activities will use hi-tech equipment, as well as low-tech, maker-centred tools suited to upper primary and lower secondary-aged teens.

    Challenges include:

    • wind vs Solar energy challenge
    • designing and testing model F1 racecars
    • VR bushfire detection experience
    • prototyping solutions to Berwick's Hospital patient transportation under traffic congestion using digital game simulations
