There are currently 36 Victorian secondary schools delivering the Select Entry Accelerated Learning (SEAL) program.

Learning in core subjects is accelerated for students in these programs and opportunities for in depth study are provided. Students usually complete Years 7-10 in three years, giving them an extended range of options for their final years of schooling.

Students may choose to complete extra VCE units, allowing them to accrue a greater range of subjects. Some students do VCE Extension Studies, which allows them to complete one or more university subjects as part of their VCE. Other students choose to enter tertiary education after only five years of secondary schooling.

Secondary schools with SEAL programs are located throughout metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria. Each school is responsible for determining its own selection criteria. Enquiries about SEAL programs should be made directly to schools early in the year prior to the student starting Year 7. Entrance exams usually begin in May.
