Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying can be pervasive and incessant.

For kids

 

Primary: But I didn’t do it

If you see online bullying, it is important to tell someone who can take action.

  

Primary: I didn’t mean it

Pretending to be someone else online or offline may seem like a joke but it is actually lying.

  

Primary: Words won’t hurt

Bullying hurts most when it happens all the time and more people get involved.

  

Primary: That’s risky stuff

Having secrets can seem fun but if you hurt people around you it’s not worth it.

 

Secondary: But I didn’t do it

If you see online bullying, it is important to do what you can to stop it.

 

Secondary: I didn’t mean it

You can’t always judge what effect your actions online will have on other people.

 

Secondary: Words won’t hurt

Online bullying can feel much worse than offline bullying.

 

Secondary: I’m not a bully

Text messages are quick and easy, but can’t be unsent, so its important to think before you text.

 

Secondary: That’s risky stuff

Posting any images of other people without their permission is not OK.
