Children's Services Regulation Review
The Office for Children has undertaken a review to develop replacement regulations for the current Children's Services Act 1996, which end in May 2008. The review is looking at what should change and what should remain in the legislation.
A feedback report is now complete, which provides an overview of the responses received and views expressed during the consultation period for the review of the Children’s Services Regulations. The report summarises the views expressed through consultation sessions, parent focus groups and written submissions.
The submissions and feedback received during the consultation period will assist in developing detailed proposals for new regulations for licensed children's services, family day care and outside school hours care.
