Gifted Education Professional Learning Days in 2009

For all Select Entry Accelerated Learning Coordinators and Gifted Education

In 2009, four professional learning days to support Gifted Education will be facilitated by the Student Learning Programs Division.

Term One Program - Engaging gifted Students through ICT

When: 9.00am – 3.30pm, 25 March 2009.

Where: Harrison Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) entry via Gate 2.

9.30am – 10.30am:              SEAL and Gifted Education– sharing practice

11.00am – 12.30pm :           Key note presentation – Tom March

1.30pm – 3.30pm:                ICT workshop – Tom March

 

Keynote Speaker Tom March

Tom will share with us the key role which ICT plays to engage and challenge gifted students in our classrooms. Tom will demonstrate how his WebQuest model can help students achieve sophisticated cognition within a scaffolded learning environment.
