New booklet to benefit students with a disability
News bulletin: 12 October 2009
The Positive Education Planning booklet has been developed to help parents build strong relationships with schools and become more involved in their child’s education.
Produced by the Association for Children with a Disability, the Positive Education Planning booklet contains comprehensive information for parents on support services available and practical tips to use in aiding their development.
Parents will receive advice on how to set learning goals, how to help at home and how to get involved and stay connected to their child’s education.
The booklet will also include real-life case studies from parents who have worked closely with schools to achieve educational goals set for their children.
Additional information on support services for families will also be provided in the booklet to help benefit their child in all aspects of their development.
The Positive Education Planning booklet will be distributed to all Victorian government schools and copies are also now available from the Association for Children with a Disability.
