Children 365: Celebrating children every day of the year

Children365 was launched this Sunday 1 November at Melbourne Museum.

Children365 supports the work of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation to ensure children are protected and cared for in our community. 

The initiative provides an annual calendar with monthly themes, practical advice and activity ideas on how adults can best engage, nurture, and ensure the safety and protection of children every day of the year.  

On the day of the launch, parents were asked to take time out to think about why their children are important and how they can spend more time together.

Parents were also be encouraged to make promises and declarations about their children, including: ‘three reasons why I love my children, six ways they make me smile and five things we will do together this year’.

Once declarations were made, participants also had the opportunity to upload them onto the Foundation’s website for others to read.
