James Hart, designer of this year's Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge poster for primary school students, believes all children want the same thing from a book.
'Kids still want to be taken on a journey, to be taken to different worlds,' he says.
'Kids will always want to be on an adventure.'
The famed children's book illustrator used his distinct cartoon style and dynamic characters to help bring to life this year's Challenge theme — Adventure on Every Page.
One of the books illustrated by Mr Hart
'Mr Bambuckle's Remarkables' depicts an extraordinary teacher who brings excitement and imagination to his primary school.
'The inspiration behind the primary school poster was that magical element that Mr Bambuckle brings, sharing that with his students and the magical explosion of books and stories,' Mr Hart says.
