About the Department

Key People within the Department

The key people within our Department include:

  • Ministers – our Department falls under the responsibilities of two Victorian Government ministers, the Minister for Education and the Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development
  • Parliamentary Secretary - The Parliamentary Secretary plays a key role in assisting the Minister for Education
  • Secretary - The Secretary is directly responsible for management of the Department
  • Deputy Secretaries - Our four Deputy Secretaries are directly responsible for each Offices within our departmental structure and, along with the Secretary, form part of the Department Leadership Team
