Ministers' Message
The Victorian Education Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the passionate and committed people who give every child in our kindergartens and schools every opportunity to shine.
Principals and teachers are the backbone of our schools and kindergartens. They are the ones that inspire and motivate our children and young people to learn and reach their potential.
These Awards celebrate teachers who go that extra mile by inspiring their students to develop a love of learning through creative and engaging ideas and programs.
We would like to congratulate each of the finalists for these Awards, your professionalism and dedication is to be celebrated. These Awards also recognise excellence, innovation and creativity.
This year we are pleased to present two new award categories – Partnership with Parents and Communities, and Pathways and Transitions.
These new awards reinforce the value we place on partnerships with parents and on the importance of supporting young people through their transition from school to further education, training and jobs.
We also acknowledge long-serving teachers, retiring school councillors and dedicated volunteers for their contribution to our children and young people.
These people, who have given years of service to education, enrich our schools and help strengthen the fabric of our local communities.
