Applications for the Victorian Education Excellence Awards close

These awards recognise kindergarten and Victorian government school staff who have made an exceptional contribution to education.
Award winners will share in $240,000 worth of prize money, which will allow them to undertake professional development programs and educationally based research projects—like Brendan Murray, winner of the 2009 mecu Outstanding Secondary Teacher Award
In late 2009, Brendan travelled to the United States and Canada to undertake a research project into high academic achievement in alternative education settings.
