Sporting Blue Award

Sporting Blue awards are presented for outstanding achievement by a student in the following primary and secondary school sports categories:

Primary school

Athlete with a Disability, Athletics, Australian Football, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Diving, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rugby League, Soccer, Softball, Swimming and Tennis.

Secondary school

Athlete with a Disability, Athletics, Australian Football, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Diving, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.

Nominations for the 2009 Sporting Blue Awards are now open.

Winners of the 2009 Victorian School Sports Awards will be announced in a ceremony hosted by the Minister of Education in early 2010.

Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award

Presented to one primary and one secondary student for outstanding achievement in any sport.

Outstanding Community Contribution Award

Presented to a one primary and one secondary school parent, coach or volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to school sport.

Outstanding Teacher Contribution Award

Presented to one primary and one secondary school teacher for their outstanding contribution to school sport.
