Sporting Blue awards are presented for outstanding achievement by a student in the following primary and secondary school sports categories:
Primary school
Athlete with a disability, Athletics, Australian rules football, Basketball, Cricket, Cross country, Diving, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rugby league, Soccer, Softball, Swimming and Tennis.
Secondary school
Athlete with a disability, Athletics, Australian rules football, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Cross country, Diving, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.
Nominations for the 2008 Sporting Blue Awards open in Term 3.
Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award
Presented to one primary and one secondary student for Outstanding Achievement in any sport.
Outstanding Community Contribution Award
Presented to a one primary and one secondary school parent, coach or volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to school sport.
Outstanding Teacher Contribution Award
Presented to one primary and one secondary school teacher for their outstanding contribution to school sport.
