Judging and Assessment Criteria
Award applicants were asked to address each of the following assessment criteria:
- Provide an overall description of the project including special features and innovative design practices (no more than 200 words)
- Response to the initial school brief
- Design concept and resolution
- Responsiveness to linking learning pedagogy to space
- Responsiveness to ecologically sustainable design issues
- Responsiveness to the greater community
- Responsiveness to the physical environment
- Best practice in combining community use of school facility
These criteria are applicable to all categories.
Finalists and winners in all categories of the School Design Awards were determined by a judging panel, chaired by the Office of the Victorian Government Architect.
