The 2009 Royal Melbourne Show

With an interactive exhibit showcasing new technologies in classrooms, we are excited to be taking part in the Royal Melbourne show this year.
The show runs from Thursday 17 September to Sunday 27 September and our exhibit will be in the Victorian Government Expo Centre (VGEC).
Our theme this year is ‘Every child, every opportunity’ and will be set up as an innovative classroom with learning pods, technology based information networks, interactive games and workshops.
We will have a variety of activities on offer, including workshops for different age groups from toddlers to parents, as well as information on the key components of early years development and education in Victoria.
What to check out at the exhibit:
- Teamboards – interactive whiteboards that are common in today’s schools
- Netbooks – the latest in mini notebook technology
- iMac computers – showcasing great educational software such as ‘Kahootz’
- Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit and DSi – complement great physical education programs and offer brain training games
- Premier’s Reading Challenge/Young Reader’s Program capsules – a great space for kids of all ages to read and listen to audio books
- Learning pods – authors, illustrators and face painters will entertain and engage children with a range of activities
