  • The student creator of the winning book trailer and cover design will each receive an Apple iPad Air plus a $200 Penguin book voucher (recommended retail).
  • The winning student in each category will also win a $200 Penguin book voucher for their school (recommended retail).
  • The two student runners-up and a people’s choice in each category will also win a $200 Penguin book voucher (recommended retail).

The competition

Paper Cuts 2015 is open to all Year 7 to 12 students. To enter, students had to create a book trailer or design a book cover to be in the running to win. Students entered individually, or some teachers  preferred to make it a whole-class activity.

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to a special event at Penguin Random House Australia on September 4 and their work will be featured here.​
