The Victorian State Schools Performance Ensembles

VSS Dancers

The Victorian State Schools Dance ensembles are divided into two groups:

  • Junior (Year 4 to Year 8)
  • Senior (Year 9 to Year 12)

There are currently three Victorian State Schools Dance ensembles here in Victoria - Melbourne, Geelong and Warragul.

The ensemble were formerly know as the JOINING the CHORUS (JtC) ensembles.

Melbourne Dancers

The Victorian State Schools Melbourne Dancers are currently taught by Michelle Saunders. 

The Melbourne ensembles rehearse at the JOINING the CHORUS studios at Cromwell St, Collingwood on each Saturday of the school term.

  • Juniors rehearse from 10.30am - 12.00pm
  • Seniors rehearse form 12.30 pm - 2.00pm

Geelong Dancers

Geelong is the largest regional centre outside of Melbourne and it boasts a strong performing arts community. 

The Victorian State Schools Geelong Dancers are taught by Sherree Nash, a prominent member of the Geelong Dance scene. 

The Geelong ensembles rehearse at the GPAC Alcoa Studios, Ryrie St. Geelong on each Monday of the school term.

  • Juniors rehearse from 4.00pm -  5.30pm
  • Seniors rehearse form 5.30pm - 7.00pm

Warragul dancers

The Victorian State Schools Warragul Dancers are a platform for the great performing talent of Gippsland region.

 The Warragul Dancers are taught by Amy Romanelli and rehearse at the Standing Ovation Studios, 27 Sutton St. Warragul on each Wednesday of the school term. 

  • Juniors rehearse from 5.30pm -  7.00pm
  • Seniors rehearse form 7.00pm - 8.30pm
