Hosted by Professor Peter Dawkins, Secretary for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD), the 2008 Melbourne Dialogue is an opportunity for key educational leaders from high performing jurisdictions to come together and share their experiences and challenges of school reform.
It is also a great opportunity to meet and network with senior officials from other jurisdictions that are pursuing similar paths to school reform.
The 2006 and 2007 Dialogues highlighted that a great deal of progress has been made in understanding challenges and identifying strategies to achieve large scale reform.
The third and final International Education Leaders’ Dialogue in Melbourne will sharpen the focus on latest policies and strategies proving to be effective, and will concentrate on sustaining progress and positioning jurisdictions for the next phase of reform.
