Jurisdiction pre-work

A new feature for 2008 jurisdiction case study reports and presentations will be made available for downloading from the IELD website.

Video conference Sessions - 5 November and 17 November

A live video conference will be convened to discuss jurisdiction achievements, challenges and expectations for the Dialogue.

Monday 1 December

The 2008 Dialogue will open with a drinks reception followed by an opening dinner and an official welcome from Victorian Minister for Education, the Hon Bronwyn Pike, and visiting ministers.

Tuesday 2 December

  • Opening addresses by Professor Michael Fullan and Professor Sir Michael Barber.
  • Jurisdiction reports
  • Cross-jurisdiction group work
  • Visit to Melbourne landmark (optional activity)
  • Drinks and canapés hosted by Prof. Peter Dawkins, Secretary, DEECD

Wednesday 3 December

  • Cross jurisdiction group work and report back
  • Focus on next phase of reform
  • Closing remarks by Professor Michael Fullan and Professor Sir Michael Barber
