    Event Details

    Description

Warrnambool Art Gallery (WAG) will collaborate with Gunditjmara Song man and Elder, Brett Clarke, to present an Indigenous Australian-inspired music and rhythm session for learners in the Early Years (Kinder – Year 2, Ages 4 - 8).
Children explore different indigenous instruments and artefacts from WAG’s Collection, move to different sounds, and join in a sing-a-long to an Indigenous song. Children also explore indigenous symbols, specifically those relating to land, water and people, which signify ‘holistic and integrated approaches based on connections to Clan and Country’. Children have the opportunity to assemble and decorate their own indigenous-inspired rain stick that they can use while singing and take home afterwards.
