For Schools

Victorian students in a new BER building

This section provides useful information to assist your school with the practical aspects of its Building the Education Revolution (BER) project.

My Project

Whether your project is about to commence, under construction or complete, each stage has important milestones. Information and resources relevant to each stage have been developed to assist your school with its project.

About to Commence – preparing for construction, planning for your project, communicating effectively, integrating BER into curriculum and signage requirements.

Nearing Completion – taking possession of your building, access to the construction site, enhancing your project with furniture and equipment and planning a recognition ceremony.

Complete – holding a recognition ceremony, using flexible learning spaces, understanding the defects liability period and sharing your facility with the community.

Grants

Your school may be entitled to a number of grants through the BER program.  These grants relate to interactive whiteboards, furniture and equipment and landscaping – all of which are designed to enhance your 21st century learning space.

Furniture and equipment

Furniture and equipment can enhance the flexibility and functionality of learning spaces, enabling schools to maximise the benefits from their facilities.
