Setting the Direction

In a complex, global and networked world, the life chances of our children and young people have become increasingly dependant on the support they and their families receive early in life.

In response to the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) national agenda, the Victorian Government formulated the Blueprint for Education and Early Childhood Development; a comprehensive five year plan that brings together our new vision and mission, along with challenging goals and priority areas that deliver on these reforms.

Our vision is to ensure every young Victorian thrives, learns and grows to enjoy a productive, rewarding and fulfilling life, while contributing to their local and global communities.

The Blueprint also outlines four main priorities, six goals and three strategies to assist us achieve our vision.
