The Victorian Skills Commission (VSC) ceased operation on 31 December 2012.
The Victorian Government is implementing a new industry participation model to increase direct consultation with employers, industry associations and other government departments, and to support more direct relationships between enterprises and training providers. Further details of the new arrangements are available at: Refocusing Vocational Training in Victoria
VSC apprenticeship and traineeship regulation functions were transferred to the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). Other VSC functions were transferred to the Department from 1 January 2013.
