About the Region
The South-Western Victoria Region works with schools, communities and other organisations to ensure learners have the best possible educational outcomes.
The region includes the former Western Metropolitan, Barwon South West and Grampians regions. The region includes the local government areas of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham in the western suburbs of Melbourne and the non-metropolitan local government areas of Ararat, Ballarat, Golden Plains, Hepburn, Hindmarsh, Horsham, Moorabool, Northern Grampians, Pyrenees, West Wimmera, Yarriambiack, Colac-Otway, Corangamite, Glenelg, Greater Geelong, Lady Julia Percy Island, Moyne, Queenscliffe, Southern Grampians, Surf Coast and Warrnambool.
Regional staff support learners and their families and service providers across the region. Regional offices are based in Ballarat, West Footscray and Geelong, with sub-regional offices located in Ararat, Horsham, Colac, Hamilton, Portland, Warrnambool and Footscray.
