Ministerial Directions

The responsible Minister may issue directions from time to time to clarify the management, reporting and other responsibilities of TAFE institute boards, and to give direction on the employment of staff, charging fees, or other specific matters. Some Directions are also given to councils of universities with TAFE divisions.

The purposes of the Directions are to remake directions relating to employment of staff and to repeal earlier directions that are no longer required with the making of the strategic planning guidelines and commercial guidelines in April 2013.
