Submissions received for the Regulations Review

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the review process.

The Department is currently responding to all submissions. These responses are being progressively sent out during June 2017.

Final Regulations will be tabled in Parliament in mid 2017 and will take effect on Sunday 25 June 2017.


The Department received 549 written submissions in response to the Regulatory Impact Statement during the 69 day public consultation period between December 2016 and February 2017.

The submissions published here are the submissions of individuals and stakeholders who provided their consent for their submission to be published.

All the submissions received have been allocated a number and are published by reference to their number. The numbers run from 1 – 564. This is because some of the submissions received as part of the earlier May/June 2016 submission process have also been republished at the request of the author, and some of the submissions were provided more than once and were allocated two numbers.
