Skills First

A new approach to training will be implemented, setting a high benchmark for training quality, and supporting the courses that are most likely to lead to employment.

​Inclusive education for all students with disabilities and additional needs

The Government has set a new agenda for inclusive education for all students with disabilities and additional needs in the Education State, in response to the recommendations of the Program for Students with Disabilities Review.​

Learning Places: Partnering for Better Outcomes

The Government has committed to establishing Victoria as the Education State. A critical component of this is strengthening regional services and support.

Schools Funding Review

The Government has appointed former Premier, the Hon Steve Bracks AC, to examine future funding arrangements for schooling in Victoria for the period beyond 2017.

VET Funding Response

​The Government has outlined its vision for training in the Education State, with the public​​ation of the VET Funding Review and the Government's Response, Skills and Jobs in the Education State.

Support to the TAFE Sector

To support the TAFE sector, the Government established the $320 million TAFE Rescue Fund.
