The Science Graduate Scholarship will not be offered in 2016.
The Science Graduate Scholarship provides up to $11,000 to science graduates to become qualified primary or secondary school teachers. Up to 100 scholarships will be awarded in 2015 to support Graduate Entry Teaching study commencing in 2015. The Science Graduate Scholarship contributes to fulfilling the Victorian government’s commitment to boost the learning outcomes and engagement in science in Victorian schools.
To be eligible for a Science Graduate Scholarship, applicants must be:
a science graduate, preferably also with a work history in a science field
enrolled in an approved Primary or Secondary Graduate Entry Teaching (GET) course with teaching areas (methods) in science for study commencing in 2015
enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)
an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen
a resident of Victoria
Graduates who choose to work in a Victorian government or rural school after completing their course get extra incentives. Scholarship information including eligibility requirements and the selection process is provided in the Information Sheet under More Information.
Applications are now closed. The Science Graduate Scholarship will not be offered in 2016.
Notification of your application outcome will be provided by the end of March 2015. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
